Pamela Anderson’s limited-edition lip balm is perfect for the holidays: ‘A reflection of love’

1 hour ago 2

Sweet dreams are made of this.

Simple childhood joys are a universal joy to relive, and that’s just what Pamela Anderson did for her latest Sonsie launch: the limited-edition Basic Balm in Sugar-Dipped Rhubarb.

The trailblazing actress shared in a press release that she “was inspired by a childhood story of mine, with my grandmother,” bringing “a sweet memory brought to life” with her new product.

The “earthy-sweet rhubarb” lip soother joins the original Basic Balm in the streamlined skincare lineup, adding a new flavor and a bit of cool shimmer that the founder says is “so good for the holidays.” (The two balms also come together in a giftable set.)

“Rhubarb is my favorite vegetable (dipped in sugar). [The balm] has the most beautiful (microplastic-
free) shimmer. I use it all the time,” Anderson said.

The vegan, squalane-packed formula also uses a peptide complex to smooth, moisturize and firm lips.

Anderson shared with Page Six Style exclusively that “Sonsie is a reflection of love.”

“I wanted to create a way to use cruelty-free products so nothing harmful would get in the way of a great day — a lot of the things we don’t see, subconscious, subliminal, to add peace to our lives — it is all energy,” the longtime animal rights activist told us.

The Basic Balm Duo comes in a giftable, branded metal tin and includes one of each of the lip balms for under $45.

We had the opportunity to try the latest iteration, and it’s become a staple in our daily routine.

The pale shimmer feels imperceptible on lips yet gives a subtle glow, and its gentle scent is delectable without being sweet or lingering. It’s a lightweight, hydrating balm that you’ll find yourself reaching for regularly (that doesn’t ever feel goopy), but also looks pretty over lip stains and lipsticks.

If you’re looking for additional gifts or an easy way to try the clean beauty brand, Sonsie offers plenty of other sets, including the Sunrise Bloom Bundle.

It comes with two brand favorites: the niacinamide-charged, daily Super Serum for dewy, healthy skin, and the latest, skin-barrier boosting Adapt Cream (that also counters redness) for a radiant complexion. One shopper wrote of it, “Haven’t applied concealer in weeks and my skin has never looked better.”
