Packers rumor involving $48 million pending free agent should interest Steelers, Raiders, Titans

The Green Bay Packers have a few key players set to hit the free agency market this offseason, one being wide receiver Romeo Doubs.

Doubs is coming off one of the best years of his career in 2025, tallying 724 yards and six touchdowns, and the Packers should look to bring him back. However, Green Bay will have some competition if they let the young receiver hit the market.

According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, Doubs and the Packers are expected to discuss an extension and pursue a return if it makes sense.

"The door isn't closed on Doubs in Green Bay. I'm expecting both sides to at least have some dialogue and see if a return makes sense," Fowler said.

However, Fowler also adds that there will be receiver-needy teams, such as the Tennessee Titans and Las Vegas Raiders, who could target Doubs and make him a very rich man.

"The Raiders and Titans will have my attention for free agent receivers. Both desperately need a difference-maker on the outside," Fowler added.

Las Vegas and Tennessee are slated to have the most cap space in the NFL this offseason, so both franchises have the money to lure Doubs away from Green Bay in free agency.

The Pittsburgh Steelers could also be in the Doubs market, especially due to his connection with quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who could return as the Steelers' starting signal-caller next season. A receiver duo of DK Metcalf and Doubs would be incredibly exciting for Pittsburgh.

Spotrac projects Doubs will land a four-year deal worth $48 million, an average annual value of $12 million. That would be a fair deal for Doubs, given the state of the receiver market and his youth.

We'll see if the Packers can get something done with Doubs, or if he'll be wearing a new uniform in 2026.
