Jordan Love knows that no matter where he goes, he'll always have at least one fan in the stands:
His mother.
The Green Bay Packers' star QB has a lot more fans these days, too, but it's his mother who has always supported him.
That became his focal point at age 14.
That's when Love's father died, the man he calls his "best friend in the world."
He opened up about that time in his life in a new piece on The Players Tribune, sharing how important his mother was to getting him through those days.
"My world was turned upside down," Love wrote. "I wanted to quit football. Honestly, I kind of wanted to give up on everything. I was just a lost kid. So my mom made this deal with me: 'If you keep playing football, you know I’ll always be there for you.' Simple as that. 'No matter what. Even if you’re just holding a clipboard. You’ll always know that somebody is in the stands cheering for you.'"

Love's mother, Anna, went viral during a Packers game at Arrowhead Stadium against the Chiefs. The broadcast found her and Love's then-girlfriend sitting in the very top row of the stands.
But she was there, just like she always has been.
Love expanded on his relationship with his father in his piece on The Players Tribune, too:
"My dad actually wanted to name me Michael Jordan. That’s real. Michael Jordan Love. My mom vetoed it, thank God. When I say my dad taught me everything, I really mean everything. We’d be out in the yard from the time I could walk — no, really from the time I could stand. Football, basketball, every sport imaginable. There’s a picture of me from when I was a baby and my dad is putting me up on a race horse. I’m like one, in my diaper, and I’m chilling up on some Secretariat-looking dude."

Love writes that his father's motto was, "Try everything."
With two parents that were police officers, Love clearly had a special upbringing.
He has taken the lessons he's learned into one of the highest-profile positions in sports, the quarterback for the Green Bay Packers.
His mom is still there with him in person, and his father is never far away thanks to all the lessons Love learned from him.
