Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton is fully healthy nearly 16 months after tearing his Achilles during Game 7 of the NBA Finals, but he might look a bit different this season.
Speaking on "The Pat McAfee Show" on Thursday, Haliburton revealed he has undergone some changes since the injury, including adding more weight during the year off.
For Haliburton, that weight gain was intentional, with the hope that it makes a difference for him as he returns to the court.
Here's what you need to know about Haliburton's new playing weight.
Haliburton revealed Thursday that he now weighs 200 pounds, which is 25 pounds heavier than he claims he was during the 2025 NBA Finals. That weight gain was intentional: the Indiana guard said he added muscle and bulked up during his season away from the court while rehabbing a torn Achilles.
Haliburton is listed at 185 pounds, but he claims he was closer to 175 before the devastating Achilles injury. He now plans to stay at 200 pounds for the entire 2026-27 season.

— Fullcourtpass (@Fullcourtpass) October 8, 2026While he's added muscle during the recovery process, Haliburton also faced a setback in early 2026 when he contracted shingles. The illness led to unintentional weight gain due to medication, along with other symptoms.
"I’ve been taking unbelievable amounts of medication to try to get rid of it. It hasn’t worked," Haliburton told reporters in April. "It’s obviously caused me to gain weight. That’s been a topic of conversation through social media."
That led to some concern about Haliburton's appearance, but the Pacers star is making it clear he's intentionally bulked up and hopes a larger frame helps him return to form this season.
