Steve Sarkisian and the Texas Longhorns suffered a disappointing loss on Saturday at the hands of the Georgia Bulldogs. Kirby Smart and his team ended up securing a dominating 35-10 victory at home and extending their winning streak to six games with a 9-1 record.

After the game, fans on social media heavily criticized Steve Sarkisian and demanded that the Longhorns fire him as the head coach.

"Fire Sark overrated coach that can't win with a $40 million dollar roster. Give any other coach his resources and they'll deliver championships," one fan commented. "Fire Sark Already!! Trash!!!" another fan said. "Can they please fire Sark. I'm talking immediately after this game. I want him told he's done before he even gets to the locker room." this fan wrote. "Please fire Steve Sarkisian. I can't say it enough, clueless, doesn't prepare his team ever! Cannot win a big game." another fan stated. "It Texas is a serious program, they should fire Sark and enter the coaching carousel. They have hit their ceiling with him," one fan said. "Social media? Uh time to FIRE coach Sark. His eyes look like a deer in headlights. Embarrassment for the University of Texas!!! Absolutely unprepared. Outcoached every step. He belongs in HS Football, not SEC, not NFL!!" this fan commented.

Steve Sarkisian took over as the Texas Longhorns coach in 2021. Last season, after the team joined the SEC, he competed in the conference championship game, where they lost to the Georgia Bulldogs.

The Longhorns also qualified for the 12-team playoffs. However, they were defeated by Ohio State in the Cotton Bowl semifinal showdown. This season, Sarkisian and his team are 7-3 after Saturday's loss, bringing an end to their four-game winning streak.

Steve Sarkisian opens up about making a comeback after disappointing 35-10 loss to Georgia

In the post-game press conference, the Texas coach was questioned whether this loss would impact their remaining two games of the season against Arkansas and Texas A&M.

Sarkisian responded by stating that they will make a comeback with a strong mindset and improve their game.

"I don't think it'll carry over. We have too much character in the locker room. We've got too good of a culture. I know the leadership in that locker room. We've got a ton of fighters. I've got other concerns, that's not one of my bigger ones right now."

The Longhorns will next face the Arkansas Razorbacks on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET. Can Sarkisian and his team qualify for this season's 12-team playoffs?
