Only 6 current Denver Broncos players were even alive the last time they lost to Dallas Cowboys

The Denver Broncos (5-2) will play in one of Week 8's most intriguing games when they host the Dallas Cowboys (3-3-1) on Sunday.

The Cowboys have a red-hot offense but one of the league's worst defenses. Meanwhile, the Broncos are coming off a 33-point fourth-quarter explosion that led to a miraculous win over the New York Giants. It's an important game for both teams, but the Cowboys have not found success against the Broncos for quite some time.

While Denver holds a 9-5 edge in the all-time series, the last time the Cowboys beat the Broncos was September 10, 1995. Yes, you read that correctly. That was a game played at Texas Stadium, won by the Cowboys 31-21, during their run as the league's best franchise. Anthony Miller caught three touchdowns for the Broncos in the losing effort.

But since then, it's been all Broncos. Denver has won the last seven meetings between the two teams and as a result, only six players on the Broncos' current roster were even alive when that last loss to the Cowboys came.

Evan Engram
Wil Lutz
Mike McGlinchey
D.J. Jones
Alex Singleton

If you're looking for the last time the Cowboys won in Denver, you have to go back even further, all the way to 1992.

During the Broncos' 7-game win streak over Dallas, some of the wins include beating Dallas on Thanksgiving in 2001 and 2005. There was also a 51-48 shootout in 2013 that was one of the wildest games in NFL history. That game also included one of the more unforgettable touchdowns in the career of Peyton Manning.

This Cowboys team will obviously be different than any of the teams the Broncos have beaten in the past, as Dak Prescott has his offense rolling. History is on the Broncos' side, but all bets are off once kickoff happens on Sunday.
