One team will end a decade-plus drought in today's SEC Championship

The Southeastern Conference Tournament will crown a champion Sunday with a decade-long drought guaranteed to end when No. 3 seed Arkansas faces No. 4 seed Vanderbilt at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.

Neither program has lifted the SEC Tournament trophy in years. Vanderbilt last won the event in 2012, while Arkansas is seeking its first conference tournament title since 2000. The Razorbacks will be making their eighth appearance in the championship game.

The matchup also carries historic implications for Arkansas coach John Calipari. A victory would make Coach Cal the first coach to win the SEC Tournament with multiple programs. He previously captured six SEC Tournament titles while coaching Kentucky and owns a 27-9 record in the event.
