As September inches closer, it starts becoming real: Football is on the way. It's an exciting time of year when real football is literally just a little over a month away. The preseason is even closer. So, which NFL team will be the hardest to beat this season?
In a piece for Bleacher Report, NFL analyst Alex Kay names one key reason each NFL team shouldn't be overlooked in 2026. In it, he also names one team that will be "impossible to stop" this season.
Now, there are a lot of good teams in the NFL. There are even a lot of great ones. But, not many get that recognition as being "impossible to stop."
Los Angeles Rams have the best chance right now
That team is the Los Angeles Rams. Kay says they'll be really difficult to overcome in 2026. He adds that they're the "league's best team" and that there will be "little chance any opponent will overlook the Los Angeles Rams in 2026."
During the offseason, these guys "spared no expense in padding out the few remaining weak areas of their roster and going all-in for another Lombardi Trophy. The team retained most of its key free agents while swinging blockbuster trades to bring both Myles Garrett and Trent McDuffie aboard, creating the league's most dangerous defense as a result."
It's true that the Rams have MVP Matthew Stafford and star wide receiver Puka Nacua at the helm. Then, add head coach Sean McVay into the mix and Myles Garrett, and it's easy to see why this team is it.
