Ohio State's Ben Davino continues perfection with special ranked wrestling win for Buckeyes

Ben Davino just doesn't lose.

The Ohio State Buckeyes' 133-pound wrestler continued his perfect season on Friday night in a ranked dual matchup against Wisconsin.

Davino took on No. 11 Zan Fuggitt and got the win in a 7-2 decision.

On the season, Davino is now 20-0, including 4-0 in the Big Ten.

Davino has proven in his redshirt freshman season that he's going to be everything he was advertised as coming out of high school in Illinois.

He was a four-time state champion, along with a two-time Ironman champion.

Now, he's part of a Buckeyes squad that ranks among the best in the country as a dual unit.

Of Davino's first 19 matches entering Friday night, he had 11 technical falls, one pin and one major decision, so it was rare for him not to pick up any bonus points.

But facing the 11th-ranked wrestler in the country, Davino got a good test and showed he could still remain in solid control the whole time.

There will be plenty of bigger matches to wrestle, but right now, Davino is locked in and getting the job done every time he takes the mat.
