OG Anunoby’s tip-in will be the biggest play in Knicks’ history

Assuming the Knicks finish this with the Larry O’Brien Trophy — which they certainly will after snatching victory from thin air Wednesday — the tip-in will serve as the biggest shot in franchise history.

Yup, it’s declared.

OG Anunoby’s soaring putback will be bigger than those two buckets from Willis Reed in 1970, bigger than Allan Houston off the backboard in Miami, bigger than John Starks’ dunk over Michael Jordan or Larry Johnson’s four-point play.

“That has to be the most iconic shot in the history of New York basketball,” Knicks coach Mike Brown said.
