OG Anunoby's mysterious injury makes the Knicks' Game 2 win a bittersweet one

The New York Knicks have taken a strong 2-0 lead over the Philadelphia 76ers in their Eastern Conference Semifinals series. Mike Brown and his team are two wins away from reaching the Conference Finals, which is where they fell last season.

Game 2 was tougher to play, even with Joel Embiid out for the 76ers. However, the Knicks still pulled off the win, and they are the favorites to keep this going. However, they are dealing with OG Anunoby sustaining an injury in the later minutes of Game 2.

OG Anunoby's injury sours the Knicks' big Game 2 victory

It was yet another impressive performance by the Knicks in Game 2. Of course, it was not on the same level as their blowouts for the previous three games, but they proved they can still win games in the clutch.

Jalen Brunson once again stepped up in the high-stakes fourth quarter minutes, but he had some help. Karl-Anthony Towns and Anunoby both played massive roles in their win, but the latter might have a problem that goes beyond Game 2.

Anunoby was superb in Game 2, as he was performing well on both ends of the floor. He had great numbers to prove that, as he had 24 points, five rebounds, four steals, and a block. He even had the highest plus-minus of the game with a +12.

Now, the Knicks will have to deal with a potential lower-body injury. Anunoby sustained an injury after a dunk attempt in the fourth quarter. He immediately asked for a substitution, and he was not inserted into the game from then.

Losing Anunoby will be huge for the Knicks because he has been one of their best players in the Playoffs. He is a reliable scorer and an awesome defender, so losing him will be a blow to the Knicks' title contender goals.
