Offseason? What offseason?

If ever a description was disingenuous or misleading, it is what has gone on around the NFL in the past two months.

“Voluntary offseason workout program’’ is what it is called, and doesn’t that sound like an easygoing activity a player can dabble with from time to time? In truth, it is serious stuff and the only aspect that is truly voluntary is a team cannot take money from a player for failure to attend.

Go across the league, from east to west and north to south, and on any given day there was high attendance at each practice facility, players filling the locker room and spreading out across the field for non-contact practice sessions that increased in activity as the weeks went on.
