NYC teen, mom shot inside laundromat during apparently targeted attack

A city teen and his mother were shot in a laundromat in what appeared to be a targeted attack Monday evening, cops and law-enforcement sources said.

The boy, 17, and his mom, 37, were both struck in the right leg when the gunman stormed up to them and opened fire at Astor Laundromat on Astor Avenue near Holland Avenue in Allerton in The Bronx, according to police and sources.

Both victims were taken to Jacobi Medical Center, where they were listed in stable condition, authorities said. 

Investigators believe the shooter was aiming for the mother and son, but the motive was not immediately known, sources said. 

The gunman is described as a man believed to be in his 20s, standing about 5-foot-6, police said. 

He fled the scene after the burst of gunfire and had not been caught by Tuesday.
