Infamous friend of felines Curtis Sliwa showed up to his Upper West Side polling site in a cat tie and with the book “Pawverbs for a Cat Lover’s Heart” on Tuesday.

Wearing his signature red beret, the Guardian Angels founder and Republican mayoral nominee accompanied his wife, Nancy, as she voted on Election Day after he cast his ballot during early voting.

“Hopefully by the time the ballots are counted tonight when all is said and done, I’ll be the next mayor of the city of New York,” Sliwa — who is polling third, and in the low double-digits, told reporters.

“And you know, animals throughout the city will be partying hardy because they’ll have a friend both in Grace Mansion and in City Hall.”

Sliwa and his wife are known for their animal advocacy work, and he created a third-party line called “Protect Animals,” that his name also appeared under on the ballot, in addition to the GOP slot.
