The gunman — who wore a white t-shirt and used a black handgun in the killing — fled south on White Plains Road and had not been caught later Monday afternoon, cops and sources said.

It was not immediately clear whether the two men knew each other or what prompted the deadly violence.

A blood stain was still visible on the sidewalk after the shooting, and the area around the bus was cordoned off with yellow crime scene tape as police investigated.

The victim was not immediately identified pending family notification.
