Nikola Jokic is known as one of the best players to ever step on a basketball court.
Apparently, by one measure, the Denver Nuggets center is also better at doing Victor Wembanyama-esque things than Wemby himself.
Not on the court specifically, but on the stat sheet at the end of a game.
A stat called a "Wembygami" has circulated in recent years. The idea is that when Wembanyama puts up a stat line that has literally never been done in NBA history, that's a Wembygami.
Wembanyama himself doesn't lead in that stat since he came into the league, though.
Jokic does.

The leaderboard is fascinating by itself, and it also includes Luke Doncic and Giannis Antetokounmpo.
I created the term "Wembygami" two years ago -- a stat line put up by Victor Wembanyama that's never been seen before.
But to my surprise, he's not the Wembygami leader since 2023-24 — Nikola Jokić is!

Our other favorite part of this list is the out-of-nowhere presence of Brook Lopez.
It is amazing that Jokic can claim the top spot, but not entirely surprising. He puts up some massive triple-doubles that pretty much make no sense -- players have pretty much never rebounded and passed as frequently or well as the Nuggets' superstar.
The ranking of this stat is just one more proof that Jokic is one of the best to ever do it.
