The must-see Dallas Wings moment exposing Paige Bueckers' winning personality

5 hours ago 4

The Dallas Wings are a different team than the one fans watched the last two seasons, and the turnaround starts with the backcourt. After landing Azzi Fudd with the No. 1 pick in the 2026 WNBA Draft to reunite her with former UConn Huskies running mate Paige Bueckers, Dallas has climbed to 16-8 and is riding a season-high five-game winning streak, which is their longest run since 2023.

In Sunday's 96-91 win over the Chicago Sky at American Airlines Center, Bueckers put up 22 points and 11 assists, with Jessica Shepard adding 19 points and 10 rebounds. Arike Ogunbowale Fudd scored 17 and 16, respectively, in front of a crowd of 13,236.

Such a stage tends to draw attention, and this one did. Following the game, the Wings' official account posted a courtside clip of Bueckers sharing a moment on the arena floor with the Chicago Sky guard DiJonai Carrington, who was sporting her viral, Beyonce-inspired cowgirl aesthetic.

As photographers crowded around, Carrington was captured gently smiling, gesturing, and dancing with Buckers. Wings' social media handle playfully captioned this must-see feel-good moment, penning, "still fam in the clurbbbb," which is a nod to the close bond the two formed when Carrington spent the 2025 season as a foundational veteran teammate alongside Bueckers in Dallas.

Carrington didn't play in Sunday's game because she is still recovering from left foot surgery she had over the offseason. Still, she traveled to support her new team from the bench and shared a fun moment with Bueckers on the court.

Dallas doesn't get much rest before their next test. They host the New York Liberty this Thursday at College Park Center, where they'll look to push their winning streak to six games.
