"Now she’s stuck in medical" - Rhea Ripley issues heartbreaking update following WWE RAW

WWE star Rhea Ripley has some problems on her plate. The former Women's Champion and her friend IYO SKY were blindsided on RAW this past Monday.

Rhea and IYO earned the opportunity to battle for the Women's Tag Team Championships on the January 5 episode of RAW. However, this did not sit well with the Kabuki Warriors. This past Monday night, the duo of Asuka and Kairi Sane viciously attacked the number one challengers. The Empress of Tomorrow blinded Mami with the Poison Mist. Kairi then attacked IYO. The champs continued the beating, and Sane finally took to the top rope to hit the Flying Elbow on Ripley. However, SKY jumped in to save her friend and took the move on her back. WWE officials rushed to the ring to offer medical assistance to the stars.

During a recent clip posted on WWE's Twitter account, Rhea was irate with the sudden attack. She informed everyone that IYO needed medical attention after the attack. Mami herself has her vision impaired after the attack. She issued a warning to the Kabuki Warriors, claiming that they would take their tag titles during their upcoming encounter.

"Kabuki Warriors, you want to blindside us? You want to blindside us, and now, my friend, IYO SKY, now she's stuck in medical, and I can't see. We are going to take your tag team championships, and there is nothing that you can do about it. Nothing."

Rhea Ripley will face Asuka next week

After the vicious attack, Rhea Ripley rushed to General Manager Adam Pearce. The star was furious and demanded a match against Asuka.

Pearce acknowledged Mami's request and set up a singles match between the two women for next week's edition of RAW.

It will be interesting to see if Rhea Ripley can exact some revenge for the attack when the two former Women's Champions collide in the ring next Monday night.
