Novak Djokovic fans recently lashed out at WTA player Katie Boulter. After the intense French Open finals between Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner, Boulter claimed that the duo's rivalry had surpassed that of Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, leaving the Serb's fans irked about this seeming snub.
On Sunday night, Alcaraz and Sinner competed at Roland Garros, with the Spaniard staging an incredible comeback toward the end of the game to clinch a 4-6, 6-7(4), 6-4, 7-6(3), 7-6(10-2) victory in a match that lasted nearly five hours.
After the match, Katie Boulter wrote on X,
“And we thought it couldn’t get any better than Fedal 😦 Scary tennis #RolandGarros2025.”Novak Djokovic fans were annoyed at Boulter skipping over the iconic rivalry between the Serb and Nadal, with one writing,
“Better than fedal? Somebody in 2011 surpassed that.Another fan wrote,

Novak Djokovic hails French Open crowd after semifinals exit against Jannik Sinner

Earlier this week, Novak Djokovic's campaign at the 2025 French Open came to an end after he suffered a defeat to reigning World No.1 Jannik Sinner. Djokovic began his time at Roland Garros with straight sets wins over Mackenzie McDonald, Corentin Moutet, Filip Misolic, and Cameron Norrie, before getting the better of Alexander Zverev in the quarterfinals.
In the semifinals, Djokovic’s idyllic run in Paris came to an end after he was outdone by Sinner 4-6, 5-7, 6(3)-7. After his defeat to he Italian, the 38-year-old thanked the crowd while admitting that this might have been his last time playing in Roland Garros, telling media,
“I mean, this could have been the last match ever I played here, so I don't know. That's why I was a bit more emotional even in the end. But if this was the farewell match of the Roland Garros for me in my career, it was a wonderful one in terms of the atmosphere and what I got from the crowd."Over the course of his career, Novak Djokovic has lifted the trophy at the French Open a total of three times, his last victory at the event being in 2023.
