Georgia football's strained relationship with the law is well known, and the Bulldogs' penchant for driving offenses evidently extends to former players as well.
Philadelphia Eagles pass-rusher Nolan Smith was arrested for speeding and reckless driving in Twiggs County, Georgia, on Friday, 13WMAZ reported, citing the Twiggs County Sherriff's Office.
Smith has started 22 of his 28 games over the last two seasons, recording three sacks in 2025 after a 6.5-sack campaign in 2024. The Eagles exercised the former first-round's fifth-year option in April, leaving him under contract through 2027.

Smith was arrested for "speeding in excess of maximum limits and reckless driving" the Twiggs County Sherriff's Office told CBS affiliate 13WMAZ. The arrest occurred on Friday night at about 10:45 p.m. Smith has since been released from custody.
While some social media reports have made claims about Smith's speed prior to his arrest, no credible report has confirmed Smith's speed.
