No sex during playoffs? Knicks’ Mikal Bridges addresses odd request by owner James Dolan

1 hour ago 2

Mikal Bridges is not done celebrating his first NBA championship after the New York Knicks defeated the San Antonio Spurs in NBA Finals Game 5. He was recently live on Instagram and revealed a lot of behind-the-scenes things with his followers while being intoxicated.

One of them was the famous "no sex" rule ordered by Knicks owner James Dolan for 10 weeks in the playoffs. The Knicks' owner asked players to avoid sexual activity during the playoffs, probably to center their attention on only one goal: Deliver New York their first NBA championship in 53 years.

A couple of days after Bridges & Co. realized this dream, the Knicks' shooting guard recalled the now-viral "no sex" rule introduced by Dolan.

"He brought ni**as in, said 10 weeks don't have no sex, lock in -- ni**as are savage," Bridges said. "He could be a bigger savage if you build a practice living in the city, but he's still savage."

When reports about the same came out on the internet, many refrained from believing Dolan actually made those remarks. However, it seems, the rumor was true and Dolan, even jokingly, did demand players from engaging in sexual activity.

Mikal Bridges chose to open the bottle of tequila at 10 am this morning as he continues to celebrate the Knicks' NBA championship.

Taking it further, Bridges went live on Instagram, opening the floor to several questions and congratulatory comments. However, Bridges may not remember them all.

Fellow Knicks guard and NBA Finals MVP Jalen Brunson saw it and wrote the following on X:

"Somebody take Mikal's phone."

Bridges can enjoy this moment with all his heart. He was in the NBA Finals before with the Phoenix Suns some years back when Giannis Antetokounmpo's Milwaukee Bucks defeated them.
