A psychotherapist and new mother was shockingly stabbed to death inside her home in a ritzy New Jersey suburb last month — with investigators only identifying her this week as they desperately search for her killer.

Brooke Hanlon, 35, was found knifed inside her Chester house in the middle of the day on June 6, a spokesperson for the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office confirmed to The Post.

Emergency responders rushed to her residence — roughly 40 miles west of New York City — at 4:30 p.m. to a call of a woman suffering from cardiac arrest, according to dispatch audio obtained by People.

The dispatcher later informed the responding units that the unidentified caller “did advise that they have a large laceration on the breast,” the outlet reported.

An individual performed CPR on Hanlon, but she died at the scene.

Hanlon’s death was ruled a homicide by multiple sharp force injuries, according to the Morris County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The mother worked as a psychotherapist at LifeStance, an in-person and telehealth behavioral health center in Bernardsville, according to her LinkedIn profile.

Her LinkedIn described her as having “diverse experience in various settings working with children, adolescents, and families in need of counseling, therapeutic assistance, resources, and other support.”

Hanlon and her husband, James, posted a smiling Facebook photo with their newborn in front of a Christmas tree in December 2025.

No arrests have been made in the puzzling murder, and prosecutors and police stressed an investigation remains active and ongoing.

“No further information can be released at this time in order to protect the integrity of the investigation,” the prosecutor’s office said in a statement.
