A New Jersey babysitter brazenly left a video clip of herself laughing as she allegedly sexually assaulted a toddler on a phone and then gave it to a mom to find, court paper allege.
Victoria Anne Cranmer, 25, appeared in Ocean County Superior Court Tuesday morning and was held without bail, according to the Ocean County Prosecutor’s office.
She was arrested for the disturbing sexual assault of a boy so young he was still in diapers — which she captured in a Snapchat video, court papers allege.
Cranmer’s friend — who took her in, gave her an iPhone and let her babysit her daughter — discovered the alleged abuse, the filing alleges.
Cranmer had been staying at her childhood pal’s house from March through May and the friend bought her an iPhone 17 Pro and signed her up for cell service in April for Cranmer’s birthday, the court papers alleged.
But the woman eventually kicked Cranmer out of her home in early May and demanded the phone back, which Cranmer left in her mailbox, the filing alleges.
The device didn’t have any passcode on it and contained a disturbing and incriminating video of a boy being sexually assaulted by Cranmer, the court documents allege.
The friend — who Patch reported was referred to as “Ms. P.” — looked through the phone and found a 14-second clip in Cranmer’s Snapchat depicting Cranmer in the bathroom with a boy touching her as she sat on the toilet, the filing charges.
Cranmer laughed and taunted the tot in the clip, according to docs.
The boy is the son of another woman, “Ms. H,” who also used Cranmer as a babysitter, the filing says.
The boy also revealed to his mom that Cranmer had bathed with him after the mom noticed he stopped liking taking baths, the court papers show.
Ms. P. was so “freaked out” at the sick discovery that she saved the video, before locking Cranmer out of her Snapchat account, the papers allege.
Ms. P. knew that it was Cranmer in the video because of the tattoos on her legs, including of a pair of breasts, her voice and the fact that the video was taken inside of Ms. P.’s bathroom, the filing claims.
Cranmer had taken other videos of her and the boy in the bathroom and sent one to another Snapchat account, though it was unclear if those videos contained explicit material.
Cranmer did not send the video of her allegedly abusing the boy, docs said.
Cranmer has since been arrested and was charged with second-degree sexual assault, endangering the welfare of a child, manufacturing of child sexual abuse material, and possession of child sexual abuse material.
It was not immediately known who her defense attorney is.
