NFL moments of silence today: Which teams did or did not hold Charlie Kirk memorials in Week 2?

The NFL released a statement Friday addressing a pregame tribute to Charlie Kirk in Thursday's matchup between the Green Bay Packers and Washington Commanders.

Prior to kickoff on "Thursday Night Football," the public address announcer at Lambeau Field said: "The National Football League asks that you please join us in a moment of silent reflection following the murder of Charlie Kirk. The NFL condemns all violence in our communities. It will take all of us to stop hate. Thank you.”

Kirk, a 31-year-old political activist, was shot and killed during a speaking event at Utah Valley University last week. On Friday, the NFL said in a statement that it was the "league's decision" to hold the moment of silence for Kirk on Thursday, also saying it will be up to other teams if they choose to honor Kirk pregame throughout the rest of Week 2.

"Last night’s moment was the league’s decision. It’s up to the clubs for this Sunday’s games," the league's statement read.

The NFL held a moment of silence for Charlie Kirk before TNF in Green Bay.

“Last night’s moment was the league’s decision,” NFL spokesperson Brian McCarthy told FOS. “It’s up to the clubs for this Sunday’s games.”
