The Indianapolis Colts are one of the most interesting teams at the 2026 NFL trade deadline, as they could trade away players like Josh Downs and Jonathan Taylor, among many others.

When it comes to Taylor, the Colts are asking for around a first-round pick for the star running back. It would be a lot to give up for any player, let alone a running back, in the middle of the season. But, with so many interested teams, one might take the bait.

While the trade negotiations play out, what does Taylor think of a potential trade? According to NFL insider James Palmer, Taylor is expecting to be traded this season by the Colts.

Jonathan Taylor expects to be traded by Colts

"My understanding is Jonathan Taylor expects to be traded; we'll see if somebody gets up there," Palmer reported.

Plenty of interested teams are keeping tabs on a Taylor trade with the Colts. The New York Giants, Denver Broncos, Green Bay Packers, Seattle Seahawks, Minnesota Vikings, and Cincinnati Bengals have been linked to Taylor this season.

While the asking price might take teams like the Seahawks, Colts, Packers, and Vikings out of the mix, the Giants and Broncos seem like very possible landing spots for Taylor.

No team has made an offer to get the Colts to accept a trade, but there is enough buzz going around that a trade does seem very possible.

This report from Palmer reveals Taylor himself expects a trade to happen. If he is anticipating getting traded, it stands to reason that Colts fans should expect to see a trade as well.

Indianapolis hasn't made a trade yet, and nothing seems close either based on the reports coming out leading up to Week 9. But what is clear is that there are interested teams willing to pay a steep price to acquire Taylor.

Will a trade get completed? Taylor is expecting a trade, and while that doesn't mean one will actually happen, it would seem to indicate that a Taylor trade is very much in play.
