No matter what, Sunday is Tony Romo's last CBS broadcast of the year.
It's the AFC Championship Game between the Denver Broncos and New England Patriots, and Romo is doing the color commentary alongside play-by-play man Jim Nantz.
And, well, fans don't love Romo's performances lately.
Maybe his lowlight of the first half was when he couldn't even say, "He should have more time here," before Jarrett Stidham was sacked on pressure that came in so quickly that it made Romo's point look quite silly.

The common social media refrain on Sundays like this of late has been asking Romo to "shut up."
Here's a sampling:
Can @NFLonCBS please just get Tony Romo to shut up? He is the worst analyst on TV. Almost makes you want to mute the TV and listen to the radio callers.
— Matt Phillips (@MattPhill1987) January 25, 2026serious question, does Tony Romo ever shut up?
— Jacob 🧀 (@TheCheeseKing__) January 25, 2026Tony Romo please shut up brother not every play needs a diagnosis 😂

There was a much larger sampling of vulgar such requests, too.
Romo hasn't made many new fans this season.
He was a big hit when he first broke into broadcasting, but not anymore. CBS will have to decide what his future holds.
