Underdog DFS picks and sleepers for NFL Playoffs: Texans vs. Chiefs, Commanders vs. Lions featured in divisional round today
Check out our favorite DFS plays for the divisional round of the NFL Playoffs on Saturday, Jan. 18.
Nico Collins 82.5 receiving yards: HIGHER
With so many injuries to the Texans receivers, Nico Collins is the only starting wideout left. Tank Dell and Stefon Diggs are out for the season, meaning Collins is getting the bulk of primary targets. Collins has stepped up and increased his production, including a great game in the wild card round, with seven receptions for 122 yards and a touchdown in a win over the Chargers. The Texans will likely trail in Saturday's game at the Chiefs and be forced to throw the ball downfield to keep up, providing Collins with plenty of opportunities for another huge game.
Jahmyr Gibbs 113.5 rush + rec yards: HIGHER
Gibbs is on a crazy-hot run since his backfield partner David Montgomery was injured in Week 15. Gibbs posted at least 109 rushing yards and 31 receiving yards in all three weeks Montgomery missed. While Montgomery is expected to be back this week, Gibbs has cemented himself as the go-to guy and will still get the majority of running back touches. He will continue to put up huge numbers, and we predict him to go HIGHER than 113.5 rush + rec yards against the Commanders this week -- and by a lot.
Sleeper DFS picks for Commanders vs. Lions: David Montgomery 0.5 rush + rec touchdowns HIGHER
Montgomery has missed the past three weeks with an MCL injury that initially looked like it would knock him out for the season. He has gotten back quickly, but don't expect him to put up his regular numbers, especially with as well Gibbs is playing. We can expect Montgomery to get the goal-line touches, as he is the power runner for Detroit, and after Gibbs had four rushing touchdowns in Week 18, we feel good about Montgomery getting one against the Commanders.
