NFL analyst states the painfully obvious about Eagles, Kevin Patullo

1 hour ago 2

ESPN NFL analyst Marcus Spears didn’t hold back while discussing the Philadelphia Eagles and offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo on Monday Night Countdown following Philadelphia’s 23-19 loss to the San Francisco 49ers in the Wild Card Round of the playoffs.

Spears summed up the thoughts of most, if not all, Eagles fans perfectly by calling for Patullo’s job after a season's worth of poor play-calling on the offensive end.

"Kevin Patullo's ass needs to be gone," Spears said. "This was a horrible year of calling offensive plays. And I don’t think the Philadelphia Eagles offense is as bad as we watched it, based on the talent."

You'd be hard-pressed to find anyone in the Greater Philadelphia Area who disagrees with this take from Spears. I know I don't.

Patullo should be gone tomorrow.

Luckily, Eagles fans are likely to get their wish, as the Eagles are indeed expected to move on from Patullo.

If the Eagles do plan to fire Patullo, as they should, the sooner the better. There are several qualified, experienced candidates on the market, but that won't be the case for too long. So, the Eagles need to act fast to ensure that their offense looks better in 2026 than it did in 2025.
