Neymar’s youth team celebrating his call-up is one of the coolest things you’ll see today

It’s crazy to think that Neymar, once the hottest prospect and young player on the planet, is now entering his last dance with the Brazilian national team.

Most of the football world rejoiced when Carlo Ancelotti announced that Neymar made the cut for Brazil’s FIFA World Cup roster, with many players sending their personal congratulations to him. 

However, perhaps no other group that watched the announcement was as excited as the Santos youth squad was when it happened.

Neymar’s past and present combined in an awesome moment

Neymar started playing for Santos’ youth teams in 2003, and his professional debut came with the Brazilian giants in 2009.

Since then, he made stops at FC Barcelona, where he became one of the best wingers in the world, and PSG. Unfortunately for him, injuries derailed what could have been an all-time great career.

Now, he’s back playing for Santos, and he’s had his fair share of injury problems there too. But, he did enough to get his final call-up for the national team. And, everyone’s rooting for him to succeed, especially those that hope to follow, or are literally following, in his footsteps.
