Stefanos Tsitsipas' mother opened up about what she will need to do in return if he wins a Grand Slam title
Stefanos Tsitsipas' mother, Julia, sat for an interview with SPORTS.RU and opened up about her son's promise of winning a Grand Slam by defeating the top two, Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner. However, she also revealed what she would need to do if he kept his promise.
Julia said that the Greek player will focus on winning a major only if she prioritizes her own health.
"I think he has this thought deep down. It happens to all tennis players. If anyone says otherwise, I simply won't believe it. On the other hand, Stepa periodically convinces me to exercise. I'm 61, after all. My physical activity consists of walks with my beloved dogs. And my dogs are the kind that require rest after a walk. I also love swimming—I go for a swim when I can and can't. I especially enjoy it from December to March, when the water is at its coldest," Stefanos Tsitsipas' mother said. She added:
"So he says to me: "Mom, if you do this program in the gym, you'll become more resilient. And I promise you I'll win the Grand Slam. This is his hope, this is his incentive - that his mother will become healthier."Stefanos Tsitsipas opened his 2025 season by competing at the Australian Open, but he faced an early exit in the first round against Alex Michelsen.
