New Movies & Shows To Stream This Weekend: The Night Agent, Harlem, Star Trek: Section 31 + More
Netflix’s The Night Agent became of the platform’s biggest hits when it debuted in 2023, and season two drops this week with even more action and government conspiracies than ever. On Prime Video, you can tune in to the latest season of Harlem, the series developed by Girls Trip writer Tracy Oliver, and on Paramount+, tune in to Star Trek: Section 31, the latest film in the Star Trek franchise, which stars Michelle Yeoh, Kacey Rohl, Sam Richardson and Omari Hardwick.
New on Netflix Jan. 23: The Night Agent (Season 2)
Months before season two of The Night Agent‘s release, the political thriller starring Gabriel Basso was renewed for a third season. Hopefully that means that the second season, which arrived this week on Netflix, is every bit as addictive as season one. On the show, Basso plays love-level FBI agent Peter Sutherland, who finds himself in the middle of a vast conspiracy to find a mole within the U.S. government.
New on Prime Video January 23: Harlem (Season 3)
The third (and final) season of Prime Video’s Harlem arrived this week and will wrap up the story of four friends, Quinn (Grace Byers), Tye (Jerrie Johnson), Camille (Meagan Good) and Angie (Shoniqua Shandai), living in New York. The new season will also welcome Kofi Siriboe (Queen Sugar) and Logan Browning (Dear White People) to the cast.
New on Paramount+ January 24: Star Trek: Section 31
In the Paramount+ movie Star Trek: Section 31, Michelle Yeoh reprises her role as Emperor Philippa Georgiou, which she first played in Star Trek: Discovery. In the new film, Georgiou joins a secret division of Starfleet known as Section 31 so she can help protect the United Federation of Planets, while also reckoning with her own past. The film has been in development since Yeoh first appeared on Discovery, initially developed as a spin-off series, it was delayed and later conceived as a movie instead due to Covid and schedule conflicts.
