The “Liver King" is living some legal drama.

Brian Johnson—the subject of Netflix’s Untold: The Liver King documentary—has been arrested in Texas on June 24 after threatening Joe Rogan on Instagram, the Austin Police Department confirmed to E! News.

According to police, detectives were informed that Johnson “had made threats against” Rogan and reviewed the posts, observing that “Johnson was traveling to Austin while continuing to make threatening statements.”

After contacting Rogan, who informed police he had never previously interacted with Johnson and that he “considered the posts to be threatening.”

“Based on this information,” police shared, “detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Johnson on a charge of Terroristic Threat.”

Johnson, police confirmed, was arrested later that day outside a hotel in Austin and brought into custody “without incident.” His charge of terroristic threat, according to authorities, is considered a Class B misdemeanor.

Police added, “This remains an active investigation, and there is no further information available at this time.”

Prior to his arrest, Johnson—who’s amassed millions of online followers with his raw meats lifestyle—had shared videos to Instagram in which he named Rogan.

“Joe Rogan, I’m calling you out, my name’s Liver King,” he said in a June 23 video. “Man to man, I’m picking a fight with you. I have no training in Jiu-jitsu; you’re a black belt, you should dismantle me. But I’m picking a fight with you. Your rules, I’ll come to you, whenever you’re ready.”

A video shared to Johnson’s Instagram account on June 24 showed him handcuffed and being placed into a police car at the hotel by an officer in uniform. The YouTuber was dressed in red sweatpants, a sweatshirt with the arms cut off under a utility vest.

E! News has reached out to Rogan for comment and has attempted to locate counsel for Johnson.

In Netflix’s doc, released in May, cameras caught up with Johnson after he was exposed in 2022 for using steroids and human growth hormones to bulk up his physique—something which he had denied in years prior.

Whereas the internet personality had largely subsisted off a carnivorous diet for much of the recent years, Johnson shared in the documentary he’d been reintroducing vegetables into his diet.

"Vegetables and testicles, I can have all of it," he shared in Untold: The Liver King. "I was so convinced, all the carnivore stuff, that's what you need to really kick ass in life. I'm convinced now that I was starving myself."

"I want the world to know I was wrong," he later admitted, adding that an "extreme approach to anything probably ain't f--king working out."
