Netflix officially announces date for WWE and Stranger Things crossover episode

Netflix has officially announced the date for the crossover episode between WWE and popular series Stranger Things. The supernatural sci-fi drama has been a hit for the streaming giant for years, while WWE joined the platform this year in January.

Earlier, it was reported by Wrestlevotes Radio on Fightful Select that the Stamford-based promotion's flagship show RAW is set to team up with the hit series for a crossover promotion.

Now, days after the report, Netflix has officially revealed the crossover is coming and revealed the date as well. In a post on X (Twitter), the streaming platform confirmed that the crossover will take place on the January 5 episode of RAW at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The post featured a video teasing the special episode.

"THE WWE GETS STRANGER. January 5 🙃 LIVE only on Netflix at 8 PM ET | 5 PM PT 👀," the post read.

This will be the first RAW of 2026 and will be the one-year anniversary of the show on Netflix. The card for the night will see CM Punk defend his World Heavyweight Championship against The Vision's Bron Breakker.

Meanwhile, Stranger Things is currently in the middle of its fifth and final season. After Volume 1, which covered episodes 1-4, Volume 2 is set to stream on Christmas Day, December 25, 2025, containing episodes 5-7. This will be followed by a two-hour series finale on New Year’s Eve, December 31.

WWE RAW fell out of Netflix Global Top 10

While Netflix is promoting the upcoming Stranger Things and WWE crossover, there was some bad news for the promotion.

Last week's episode of RAW, which saw the fallout from John Cena's retirement match on December 13, didn't make it to Netflix's Global Top 10.

In the last four weeks, RAW has managed to breach the global top 10 only once, doing so with its December 8 edition. This is their longest such streak since joining the streaming giant this year.
