The Nebraska volleyball player, Bergen Reilly, has been nominated as the finalist of the AVCA's Player of the Year Award. Maisie Boesiger gushed over this news with a sweet reaction on social media.
Reilly and her team's 2025 season came to an end on December 14. The Huskers locked horns with Texas A&M during the regional final round at the Bob Devaney Sports Center. After a head-to-head showdown, the latter claimed a 3-2 victory, progressing to the national semi-finals. During the game, Reilly registered 2 aces, 3 blocks, 58 assists, and 13 digs.
A day after the heartbreaking loss, Husker volleyball announced her nomination as the finalist of the AVCA Player of the Year award. They posted a picture of Reilly on Instagram and penned a caption that read:
"Our girl.🤞Junior captain @bergenreilly has been selected as an @avcavolleyball POY finalist!"The post garnered the attention of Boesiger. Congratulating the setter for the honor, she wrote in the comment section:
"My queen👑👑👑 @bergenreilly."
Boesiger's comment on InstagramHarper Murray recently opened up about Bergen Reilly's impact on the Nebraska volleyball team. She said that the latter is the best setter she has ever played with and revealed that even if she was feeling sick, she still worked hard during the match.

Amid the ongoing 2025 volleyball season in November, Bergen Reilly sat for a conversation with the media. She opened up about Maisie Boesiger's impact on the Nebraska volleyball team, stating that she is a positive person. Reilly further said that she is lucky to have a teammate like her and revealed how she helps the players of the team.
"She's just such a light for the team. Like, it's we've talked about it a couple times. It's a long hard season, but she will come in every day with the biggest smile on her face and she's like the definition of team first. And we talk about that a lot, like do whatever the team needs for you, like T (Teraya Sigler) said. And that's exactly what Maisie's willing to do," said Bergen Reilly.She added:
"She's just like the definition of a good teammate and exactly what we try and embrace here at Nebraska is being good teammates and having that culture and we've been so lucky, I've been so lucky to have so many teammates like that here."
