NBA insider believes Christian Braun is bound for huge payday of $30+ million a year

The Nuggets were blown out in a loss to OKC Sunday afternoon in an anticlimactic Game 7.

One of the few bright spots was a great first quarter from guard Christian Braun who finished the game with 19 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and a steal.

Braun was also impactful in an elimination Game 6 as the Nuggets were down 3-2 in the series, looking to send it back to OKC for a Game 7.

Braun had 23 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals that game and was a +14 when on the court.

Braun had a quality regular season as well, which raises the question of his value as we approach an extension window opportunity for the guard this summer.

What could an extension look like for Braun?

NBA insider Bobby Marks projected that Braun could make over $30+ million a year on the potential extension.

He compared it to Magic guard Jalen Suggs, who recently signed a 5-year extension worth about $150 million in total.

Marks believes Braun should get more per year, especially with the league salary cap rising each season.

Braun averaged 15.4 PPG, 5.2 RPG, 2.6 APG, 1.1 SPG and 58 FG% in 33.9 MPG this regular season.

Braun's 58 FG% this regular season was first among guards who played at least 20 games this season.

Denver may be active this offseason to try and improve their roster while they have Jokic in his prime, so this extension could play a role in the trades they make or how the roster shapes out.
