NBA Hall of Famer couldn't believe what De'Aaron Fox did

The San Antonio Spurs lost a huge 29-point lead. They made many mistakes at the end of the game. This caused a shocking 107-106 loss to the New York Knicks. It happened during Game 4 of the NBA Finals.

Only 12 seconds remained on the clock. The Spurs held a small one-point lead. Then, guard De'Aaron Fox ran fast down the court. He tried to score a quick layup.

Fox did not need to score. He did not run out the clock. He did not force New York to foul him. Instead, Fox took a risky shot.

Knicks forward OG Anunoby blocked Fox's shot very hard. This block started a fast break for New York. The Knicks scored and won the game.

The bad choice angered Hall of Famer Charles Barkley. He spoke on the post-game TV broadcast. The legendary basketball analyst yelled at the guard.

"That was a dumbass play," Barkley said. "He did not have to shoot that ball. He could have just got fouled, there was no reason for him to shoot that ball."

Barkley stayed very angry. He called the game "the stupidest ass stuff" on a court. The Spurs let an easy win slip away.

Later, Fox explained his choice in the locker room. He wanted a three-point lead. He thought he could run faster than Anunoby.

However, sports experts agreed with Barkley. Fox should have dribbled to waste time. That choice would win the game safely.

Now, the Spurs trail 3-1 in the series. They are under huge pressure. Game 5 is a must-win game on Saturday.
