Throughout the 2026 offseason,  plenty of big additions were made across all 30 NBA teams. General managers across the league appreciate the offseason moves, but one stands out, which is the Miami Heat with Giannis Antetokounmpo.

He has been a proven superstar with the Milwaukee Bucks, but after a few seasons of struggles with that team, he is now looking for a chance to win in South Beach. It seems the rest of the NBA agrees with their goal of competing at the highest level.

Giannis Antetokounmpo is deemed the best offseason addition by NBA GMs

In the past few years, the Heat have struggled to escape the Play-In Tournament vortex. They have been trying to compete, but the roster did not have enough star power to compete with some of the Eastern Conference's best teams.

With the trade they made for Antetokounmpo, the Heat sent a lot of assets to the Bucks. However, plenty of NBA general managers think that this was the best move any team made in the offseason.

Considering the Philadelphia 76ers made a trade for Jaylen Brown and signed LeBron James, that is surprising. However, it seems that more people are high on the Heat's Giannis acquisition than anything else.

Based on the NBA's latest GM survey, 53% of the GMs think that Antetokounmpo will be the most impactful addition. Brown and James were second and third, respectively, but they were quite far from Antetokounmpo.

The Heat will likely have a much better season compared to the few recent campaigns. However, the pressure will be on Antetokounmpo to help Bam Adebayo and head coach Erik Spoelstra finally succeed after a few years of struggles.

Thankfully for the Heat and their fans, Antetokounmpo is a proven winner. If he continues to play at an MVP level, those GMs will be proven correct with their assessments.
