Jatori Williams, a four-star offensive lineman, decommitted from Miami on Tuesday. Williams announced the decision in a social media post.
This is not the first time Williams has decommitted during his recruitment. He originally committed to Alabama in September 2025 before committing for the first time that same December.
"After careful consideration, I have decided to decommit from the University of Miami and reopen my recruitment. This is a personal decision and does not reflect any disappointment with Miami or its coaching staff. They have been great to me and my family every step of the way. They are elite.
"As we approach signing day in December, I want to give myself the opportunity to fully evaluate my options and make the best decision for my future. Where I will be for the next 3-4 years is a very important decision for my family and I, it's one that I don't take lightly. I still have a lot of love and respect for Miami, and I am keeping that door open with them as I move forward in this process. Thank you to everyone who has supported me throughout this process. I appreciate you understanding."

He verbally committed to Miami in May. Williams took an official visit in the summer, during which he said he would shut down his recruitment.
Williams is Alabama's No. 4 overall recruit. That said, he also visited Auburn, which is throwing everything it has at him to keep the lineman in-state.
According to Rivals' Industry Ranking, he is the No. 9 interior offensive lineman and the No. 113 overall prospect nationally.
Miami loses a big-time recruit and falls to two offensive lineman commits in its 2027 recruiting class.
