NBA analysts collectively come to conclusion East championship contender is unable to land Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo

With the Milwaukee Bucks' season now over, they are ready to focus on the offseason. One of the things they need to do is figure out what they are going to do with their superstar, Giannis Antetokounmpo, if he requests a trade

NBA analysts Colin Cowherd and Rachel Nichols talked about the subject, and were listing places that Antetokounmpo could go. However, they did eliminate an Eastern Conference contender; the New York Knicks. Cowherd believes the Knicks tried to make a big splash by trading for Mikal Bridges, but it didn’t pan out due to the Boston Celtics.

“When the Knicks acquired Mikal Bridges for all the first-round picks, they thought it was getting them closer to Boston; now [Jayson] Tatum’s exploded, Payton Pritchard is the best bench guy in the league, and Boston actually separated from the Knicks,” Cowherd stated.

Cowherd continued, saying the Knicks needed to take a big swing this offseason to get back on even footing with the Celtics. However, the biggest swing they can take is trading for Antetokounmpo if he is available, and Nichols believes that the Knicks simply don’t have the resources to get him.

“They would like to make the biggest move possible; is that Giannis Antetokounmpo? I doubt it, only because if Giannis does ask to get traded... there will be other teams that can offer bigger packages for him [than New York] can,” Nichols said.

After seeing their reasoning, both Cowherd and Nichols are right. The Knicks need help, but they cannot afford Antetokounmpo. Even if they could, they would be sacrificing almost a decade of future picks, which isn’t sustainable for a team.
