Nathan Aspinall darts walk-on song, explained: Details on the Killers' "Mr. Brightside"

4 hours ago 1

When darts fans hear the intro to "Charlemagne" by Blossoms, they know it's about to be followed up by an electric walk-on by Nathan Aspinall.

Nathan Aspinall's walk-on has become one of the more iconic moments in darts in the past couple of years, and sometimes even overshadows the player he is.

Whether it's in front of a sold-out arena during the Premier League or in a small venue on the European Tour, everyone knows the words and sings their hearts out together.

Aspinall made the cut for Premier League Darts in 2025 but was criticized for only making it because of his popular walk-on.

Aspinall has proved the doubters wrong, currently sitting in a play-off position going into the final week before the play-off.

'Mr. Brightside' lyrics

verse
Coming out of my cage, and I′ve been doing just fine
Gotta, gotta be down because I want it all
It started out with a kiss, how did it end up like this?
It was only a kiss, it was only a kiss
Now I'm falling asleep, and she′s calling a cab
While he's having a smoke, and she's taking a drag
Now they′re going to bed, and my stomach is sick
And it′s all in my head, but she's touching his chest now
He takes off her dress now, let me go

pre-chorus
I just can′t look, it's killing me
And taking control

chorus
Jealousy, turning saints into the sea
Swimming through sick lullabies, choking on your alibis
But it′s just the price I pay, destiny is calling me
Open up my eager eyes, 'cause I′m Mr. Brightside
