The Phoenix Raceway is ready to host the 38th annual Championship Race this weekend. The 2025 NASCAR Cup Series’ 36th race, a 312-lap contest, kicks off at 3 p.m. ET on Sunday, November 2.
The Phoenix Raceway in Avondale, Arizona, boasts a one-mile-long track. It hosted the first Championship Race in 2020. The Phoenix track has nine degrees of banking in the frontstretch, three degrees of banking in the backstretch, nine degrees of banking in turns 1 and 2, and 11 degrees of banking in turns 3 and 4.
The Phoenix Raceway will also host the NASCAR Xfinity and Truck Series championship races this weekend. In addition, it’s a second appearance on the Cup Series calendar in 2025.
The Championship Race will feature 37 drivers. Like the other NASCAR Cup Series racetracks, practice sessions will open the Cup weekend on Friday (October 31) at 5:35 p.m. ET, followed by qualifying on Saturday at 5 p.m. ET. It will determine the starting positions for the Phoenix Championship race.
NASCAR qualifying order for the 2025 Championship Race at the Phoenix Raceway
FOX Sports’ Bob Pockrass has shared the qualifying order for the 2025 Championship Race, which will be held this weekend at the Phoenix Raceway.
The Cup Series qualifying session kicks off with JJ Yeley leading Group A and Kyle Busch leading Group B. Below is a complete qualifying order for the 2025 Championship Race:
