Nancy Guthrie’s home to be returned to family as desperate search nears 1-month mark

Nancy Guthrie’s Arizona home will soon be returned to her family as the search for Savannah Guthrie’s missing mom approaches the one-month mark.

The 84-year-old’s property has been treated as a crime scene ever since Nancy was first reported missing from the Catalina Foothills residence earlier this month.

But authorities are now preparing to unseal the premises and return the home to Savannah and her siblings, two federal law enforcement sources told NBC News on Wednesday.

The FBI spent several hours at Nancy’s home on Wednesday, conducting one more sweep for evidence before turning the property over.

Sources told The Post that the federal agents were likely looking for any last pieces of evidence that might have been overlooked in the 25 days since the “Today” show host’s mom disappeared.

Nancy was officially reported missing on Feb. 1 after being last seen the night before.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department, which has led the investigation, said that it believed the mom-of-three was kidnapped in her sleep because a trail of Nancy’s blood was found outside her front door.

A ransom note was also sent to several news outlets demanding $6 million in bitcoin from the Guthrie family by 5 p.m. MT on Monday, Feb. 9.

After the deadline came and went, an FBI spokesperson released a statement saying that Savannah, 54, and her two siblings had not shared “any continued communication” with the abductor.

Investigators later released photos and videos of a masked individual breaking into Nancy’s home wearing gloves and a backpack.

No one has been arrested or charged with the kidnapping, however, and authorities have confirmed that the Guthrie family has been cleared of the crime. The investigation remains ongoing.

On Tuesday, just hours before it was reported that the Pima County Sheriff’s Department and the FBI were preparing to return Nancy’s home to her family, Savannah released a new video.

The heartbroken “Today” host revealed that she and her family had accepted that their mom may “already be gone.”

She also announced a reward of up to $1 million for any information that leads to Nancy’s “miracle” return.

“We also know that she may be lost. She may already be gone,” Savannah said. “She may have already gone home to the Lord that she loves and is dancing in Heaven with her mom and her dad and with her beloved brother Pierce and with our daddy.”

“And if this is what is to be, then we will accept it, but we need to know where she is,” she added. “We need her to come home.”
