Myles Garrett drops 2-word response while lowkey snapping at reporter over Browns’ 3-12 record question

It was another disappointing day at work for Myles Garrett as the Cleveland Browns suffered a 23-20 loss to the Buffalo Bills at Huntington Bank Field on Sunday. It marked the Browns’ 12th loss of the season despite his astonishing contribution on defense through 2025.

With the Browns failing to win once again, Garrett was questioned about his decision to request a trade earlier this year in his postgame press conference. The All-Pro defensive end officially requested a trade in February 2025, citing his desire to win championships and frustration with the team's direction.

“When you went through that trade request, you said you didn't care about records, all that stuff, all that fame, all that stuff, you just wanted to win. So with two games to go, and you guys are 3-12, what's it been like for you?” a reporter asked.

However, Myles Garrett refused to answer the question. The defensive end dropped a two-word response to dodge the reporter's inquiry.

“Next question,” Garrett said after a brief pause.

While the response appears quite rude, the defensive end might have avoided being engulfed in a controversy with his decision. His trade request generated a lot of attention during the offseason, and he does not seem ready to open the chapter with two games to go this season.

Myles Garrett on how the Bills manage the game away from his side

One of the things the Josh Allen-led offense did very well on Sunday was ensure Myles Garrett didn't get involved as much as he would have wanted to. The defensive end was limited to just half a sack in the game, and he reacted to that in his postgame press conference.

"That's tough,” Garrett said. “We're not getting out quick. I had a quick game, a lot of roll in the pocket the other direction. I didn't see a lot of plays in general in my direction. And I'm sure that's not by coincidence. “So that's tough to try to be disruptive and get into a groove and work myself into the game when you're doing stuff like that. So I just have to think about how I can be more effective and make more noise next week.”

The half sack Myles Garrett recorded against the Buffalo Bills edges him closer to the NFL single-season sack record. The current record of 22.5 sacks is held by Michael Strahan and T.J. Watt, who both achieved it in 2021. Garrett needs a sack in the two remaining games to break the record.
