Several Major League teams are interested in an All-Star, Gold Glove-caliber first baseman.

The 32-year-old enters free agency after hitting .295/.363/.502 with 21 home runs and a 139 OPS+ with the San Diego Padres.

“Multiple teams are already expressing interest in the 32-year-old [Ty] France,” The Athletic's Will Sammon wrote.

Sammon added that “the first baseman could find a deal quickly.”

It wouldn't be a surprise to see France land a contract before the current collective bargaining agreement expires on December 1.

France signed a minor league contract with San Diego last offseason, and it turned out to be one of the best signings of the year.

Defensively, he posted +15 defensive runs saved and +7 outs above average at first base.

Combined with his offensive production, it's no secret he managed to accumulate a career-high 4.5 bWAR.

MLB Trade Rumors projects France will sign a two-year, $32 million contract during the offseason.

Teams in need of a first baseman, including the Padres, should have France on their offseason target list.

Overall, he's a .267/.338/.414 hitter with 102 career home runs and a .752 OPS.
