Multiple 76ers spotted playing in annual Rico Hines Runs

The NBA offseason is starting to enter its final stages as players and teams around the league will start to get ready for the campaign to come. This is certainly the case for the Philadelphia 76ers, who are going into a preseason camp with a plethora of new faces, whether it was the blockbuster trade acquisition, Jaylen Brown, another marquee signing in LeBron James, or their first-round pick, LaBaron Philon Jr.

The latter of the aforementioned trio was spotted during an off-season pick-up game at the annual Rico Hines Runs, as reported by ESPN's Dave McMenamin. Hines has been an assistant coach with the Sixers for several seasons at this point, and his scrimmages have become a staple of the offseason for that time period.

Who else was spotted at the scrimmage?

Given that Hines is a member of Philadelphia's coaching staff, it's no surprise that there were multiple other members of the Sixers, as V.J. Edgecombe, Adem Bona, Dominick Barlow, and Caleb Love were all spotted in the gym. Edgecombe went into the offseason off a fiery rookie campaign in the NBA, averaging 16 points and 4.2 assists, while Barlow and Bona managed to carve a sizable role into Nick Nurse's system throughout the season.

Something to point out about Edgecombe is that this isn't his first on-court action in the offseason, given that he was a part of the Bahamian National Team during a recent run of FIBA World Cup Qualifiers in early July.

Love's inclusion in the squad of Sixers players comes after the 24-year-old was picked up on a two-way contract by Philadelphia, with the former Portland Trail Blazer coming off of a rookie campaign that saw him average 10.4 points and 2.5 assists per outing, shooting on an efficient 38.8 percent accuracy from the field.

It's worth noting that the team of Philadelphia's players was facing some NBA-level talents, with the likes of Daeqwon Plowden, a native of the City of Brotherly Love, Johnny Juzang, and Luka Garza, who currently plays for the Boston Celtics. So it's good to see the Sixers players getting some meaningful reps in as the preseason camp continues to get closer by the day.
