Although Ngannou won his Professional Fighter's League debut in October of last year, it was small consolation after he his son Kobe had recently passed away at just 15 months old due to a brain malformity in April 2024.

Now Ngannou has been allegedly involved in another tragic death, though this time it has left his countrymen discussing whether he will face manslaughter charges for the accident.

The former UFC heavyweight champion, who took the title of lineal world champion with him when he departed the promotion, was driving in Cameroon's capital city of Yaounde when he hit a motorcycle, critically injuring a 17-year-old girl named Ntsama Brigitte Manuella, according to Cameroon Online.

The local publication refers to witness accounts of bystanders which saw Ngannou rush to the woman's aid and transport her to the General Hospital of Yaounde.

Unfortunately, she did not survive the emergency surgery.

Ngannou will reportedly pay all medical expenses and is heartbroken by the accident.

The accident allegedly occurred during Easter weekend, but was not reported online until a Cameroonian whistleblower known as N'zui Manto posted the information on Facebook.

There is no word yet regarding if Ngannou will face charges for the incident.

'The Predator' last competed in mixed martial arts against Renan Ferreira in 2024, winning the vacant PFL Super Fights heavyweight championship via first round knockout following a two-fight foray into boxing.
