Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah's votes for the 2025 FIFA The Best Men's Player have been released, with two Paris-Saint Germain (PSG) players making it to the list. The award eventually went to Ousmane Dembele, who was Salah's second pick.

According to the official list of votes, Mohamed Salah's top three picks for the 2025 FIFA The Best Men's Player were Achraf Hakimi, Ousmane Dembele, and Kylian Mbappe, in that order. Salah voted as the captain of the Egypt national team.

PSG had an exceptional 2024-25 season, with both Ousmane Dembele and Achraf Hakimi being among their best performers. Dembele was named the 2025 Ballon d'Or winner following his exceptional performances as well. Under coach Luis Enrique's guidance, the French side won their first UEFA Champions League title, alongside Ligue 1, Coupe de France, and the Trophee des Champions.

Meanwhile, Mohamed Salah's third FIFA The Best pick, Kylian Mbappe, also had an exceptional season with Real Madrid. The 2024-25 campaign marked his first season at the Bernabeu, with the Frenchman recording 44 goals and five assists in 59 outings across competitions. They also won the UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Intercontinental Cup last season.

Salah himself also recorded incredible numbers for Liverpool last season, while also being among the top contenders for the 2025 Ballon d'Or. The Egypt international won the Premier League with the Reds, while scoring 34 goals and 23 assists in 52 outings across competitions.


Lionel Messi's votes for the FIFA The Best Men's Player come to light

According to the official list of votes, Argentina legend and captain Lionel Messi voted for Ousmane Dembele, Kylian Mbappe, and Lamine Yamal, in that order, for the 2025 FIFA The Best Men's Player award. Yamal is considered among the best players in Messi's former club, Barcelona, and is often lauded as his successor.

In the 2024-25 season, Lamine Yamal was crucial for Barcelona's success, and also stood second in the 2025 Ballon d'Or rankings. He also made it to the FIFPro Best XI list. The Spaniard won LaLiga, Copa del Rey, and the Supercopa de España with the Catalan side.

Meanwhile, Messi notably showed his appreciation for his former PSG teammate, Kylian Mbappe, whom he ranked second in his list. He has also previously shared the stage with Ousmane Dembele at Barcelona. The legendary Argentine has himself won the FIFA The Best Men's Player award three times in his career in 2019, 2022, and 2023.
