All-Star third baseman Alex Bregman remains unsigned in free agency despite interest from several teams this offseason. The Detroit Tigers are one of the teams interested in Bregman.
Bregman, who was one of the biggest free agents in the market last offseason, had reportedly turned down a six-year, $171.5 million contract offer from the Tigers to sign a three-year deal with the Boston Red Sox.
Bregman opted out of his Red Sox contract to test free agency for a second consecutive season in search of a long-term deal. While the Tigers have shown interest in Bregman, it is "lukewarm," per Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press.
