MLB insider reveals odds Giants trade Rafael Devers, Matt Chapman, and Willy Adames

The San Francisco Giants are not having a good 2026 season whatsoever. Seeing Kyle Harrison dominate for the Milwaukee Brewers is frustrating, especially since Rafael Devers has struggled for the Giants this season.

But Devers isn't the only big bat to be going through it this season for the Giants. Willy Adames and Matt Chapman are both struggling. With the way things are going, this team is very likely a trade deadline seller.

But would the Giants trade Devers, Chapman, or Adames? MLB insider Robert Murray of Fansided.com revealed the odds the Giants would move on from all three sluggers, and the answer is not a big surprise at all.

Giants trade odds revealed for Devers, Chapman, Adames

Devers would draw interest, but the remainder of his 10-year, $313.5 million contract that runs through 2034 complicates things and lessens the pool of potential interested teams," Murray writes. "I struggle to see any team giving the Giants what they'd want to move Chapman or Adames."

The Giants might be selling at this year's trade deadline, and all three of these players might be made available for trade, but the odds of a trade are slim to none.

Not many teams could afford these large contracts, and even if they could, the Giants' asking price might be too much for interested teams, if there are any.

As Murray put it, "I have a hard time seeing any of these three players changing teams at the deadline."

This shouldn't come as a surprise, as the expensive contracts for struggling veterans don't exactly make for an exciting trade target.

It's probably safe to say that, barring a total stunner, all three of Devers, Chapman, and Adames are going to be sticking around in San Francisco at least through the 2026 season.
