While Omaha, Neb., is the center of the amateur baseball world, many of the top prospects who aren't in the Men's College World Series will converge in Phoenix on Tuesday for the fifth annual MLB Draft Combine.
This year's combine will feature 322 draft hopefuls, including 174 members of MLB Pipeline's Draft Top 200 and 41 of the top 50. At the combine, prospects will take batting practice, position players will do infield/outfield drills, and pitchers will have bullpen sessions.
While the MLB Draft Combine is still relatively new, it has quickly become a major part of the league's annual schedule and a key part of the draft cycle. The 2025 combine will be held from June 17-21, weeks before the 20-round 2025 MLB Draft is held in Atlanta from July 13-14.
